Ingredients:

  • 4 sourdough rolls
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 lb ground pork
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup sliced pepperoni
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  3. Shape the meat mixture into medium-sized meatballs (about 1-1.5 inches in diameter) and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes or until they are cooked through and browned.
  5. Heat a drizzle of olive oil over medium heat in a large skillet. Add the sliced onions mushrooms, and sauté until golden and tender. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
